What we do for Raleigh clients

Transcription, human-verified or AI-only

Upload audio or video, or dictate straight into the browser. You choose per job whether a person checks the transcript against the recording before you get it, and the finished document records which mode produced it — so you can always tell whether anyone reviewed it.

Dictate a form and get the form back

Upload a blank form, talk through the answers, and we write them into that same document in its own layout — not a summary of what you said. Every extracted field carries a confidence score and the quote from your dictation it came from.

A record that survives an audit

When someone approves a document we store who they were, a SHA-256 digest of exactly the content they saw, the version, and the time — plus how long elapsed between the transcript becoming available and the signature. You can export that certificate and a recipient can verify the digest without us.

Turnaround you pick per job

  • 4-Day Standard — $1.75/min, delivered within four business days
  • 48-Hour Rush — $2.50/min, delivered within two business days
  • 24-Hour Same Day — $3.50/min, delivered within one business day

Human-verified orders carry a minimum: $25 for audio and documents, $30 for video. AI-only orders have no minimum. Recordings with heavy background noise, crosstalk, or strong accents are quoted at the difficult-audio rate, from $2.25 per minute. We tell you before work starts, never after.

What North Carolina law requires

Medical records

North Carolina has no single statute fixing a retention period for physician records, and the Medical Board says so directly - it describes the area as a hodgepodge of statutes, regulations, case law, and Board position statements with no bright line applying in every case, and advises practices to harmonise them. What is codified applies to facilities: hospitals must keep records created when the patient was an adult for eleven years following discharge, and records created when the patient was a minor until the patient’s thirtieth birthday. On closure, records must be placed with a business offering retrieval services for eleven years. Private practices work from Board guidance rather than a statutory minimum.

  • 10A N.C. Admin. Code 13B .3903 (hospital records - eleven years; minors to age 30)
  • North Carolina Medical Board position statement on retention of medical records

Legal transcripts

North Carolina is unusual in maintaining a formal state-approved transcriptionist list. The Administrative Office of the Courts publishes an alphabetical roster of people authorised to prepare transcripts in any county, covering both electronic recordings made by district court clerks and records kept by official superior court reporters. Approval requires AAERT Certified Electronic Transcriber credentials plus two years of court or deposition experience, or completion of an accepted court transcription programme plus five years experience, followed by AOC training and a transcriptionist test. Official superior court reporters must additionally hold the Registered Professional Reporter credential.

  • NCAOC List of Approved Transcriptionists
  • NCAOC Transcriptionist approval requirements (AAERT CET plus experience)
  • Official Superior Court Reporter requirements (NCRA RPR credential)

The regulatory information on this page is general background compiled from public primary sources, not legal or compliance advice. Requirements change and vary by jurisdiction and by court. Verify current rules with the relevant authority or your own counsel before relying on them.
