Who this is for
Physicians, group practices, hospital departments, and independent clinicians who need clinical documentation turned around without adding administrative load.
How medical transcription works
Medical transcription is unlike general transcription because the cost of a small error is not a typo - it is a wrong dosage, a wrong laterality, or a missing allergy. Our workflow transcribes your dictation with AI and then routes every file to a human reviewer who checks clinical terminology, drug names, and numeric values against the audio before the document is released.
Files can be dictated directly in the browser or uploaded after the fact. Each finished document is returned in the format your workflow expects, whether that is a SOAP note, a history and physical, a progress note, or a discharge summary. Where your practice has an existing template, we match it rather than imposing ours.
Protected health information is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is logged, and a Business Associate Agreement is available on request. Under HIPAA, a transcription vendor handling PHI is a business associate, so that agreement is a requirement rather than a courtesy - see the compliance note below.

Medical Transcription questions
Is AI medical transcription HIPAA compliant?
HIPAA compliance is a property of the whole arrangement, not of the software alone. Under 45 CFR 164.308(b)(1), a covered entity must have a Business Associate Agreement in place before disclosing protected health information to a vendor, and a transcription provider handling PHI is a business associate. We encrypt PHI in transit and at rest, log access, and provide a BAA on request. Any provider who cannot produce a BAA should not be receiving your PHI.
How accurate is medical transcription with human verification?
AI transcription alone tends to be strong on common speech and weak on exactly what matters clinically - drug names, dosages, anatomical terms, and unusual proper nouns. That is why every file is reviewed by a person against the source audio rather than being released on the model output alone. Accuracy claims mean little without that step, so we treat human review as the product rather than an upsell.
How much does medical transcription cost?
Audio is $1.75 per minute on 4-day standard turnaround, $2.50 for 48-hour rush, and $3.50 for 24-hour same day. Recordings with heavy background noise or crosstalk are quoted at the difficult-audio rate from $2.25 per minute, and we tell you before work begins. A $25 minimum applies.
Can you match our existing note templates?
Yes. Send an example of the format you already use and we map to it. Most practices have a house style for SOAP notes or H&Ps, and a transcription service that ignores it just moves the reformatting work to your staff.
